# Zcode

## What is Zcode?

ZCode is an Agentic Development Environment (ADE) that brings GLM into real-world programming workflows, helping you turn GLM's long-context, long-horizon task, and agentic coding capabilities into a stable, usable desktop experience—covering planning, coding, review, and iteration in complex development tasks.

Leveraging the stable context and long-horizon task capabilities of the GLM model series, the ZCode Agent keeps goals, files, terminal output, browser context, execution modes, and Git state within a single task, allowing complex development tasks to progress from planning all the way through implementation and verification without losing continuity.

ZCode is deeply integrated and specially optimized around the GLM model series, with a focus on the in-house ZCode Agent capabilities. Models, tools, and execution workflows are more tightly integrated, so complex development tasks can move from planning all the way to verification within a single context.

Through natural language instructions, you can have the ZCode Agent handle coding, debugging, testing, project preview, and change review tasks; via the desktop workspace, Remote, and Bot Channel, you can also continuously monitor progress and add instructions during long-running task execution.

ZCode currently organizes the development experience around its in-house ZCode Agent and is deeply adapted for the GLM model series, with a focus on strengthening the following capabilities:

* Deep GLM integration: Multiple rounds of refinement around model capabilities, tool calling, and execution pipelines make the Agent better suited for continuous, multi-step real-world development tasks.
* Long-running task execution: Complete requirement understanding, plan breakdown, code modification, verification, and review within a single task, reducing interruptions caused by frequent context switching.
* Stable context retention: Combined with GLM's long-context capabilities, it continuously reads files, terminal output, browser state, execution modes, and Git status, improving sustained reasoning for long-horizon tasks.
* In-house Agent workflow: Tasks, permissions, context, tool calls, and commit flows are all organized around the ZCode Agent, so model outputs translate more naturally into actual engineering operations.
* Multi-device follow-up: Desktop, mobile Remote, and Feishu/WeChat Bots can jointly advance tasks in the same workspace.
* Safe and controllable: Critical commands, file modifications, and high-privilege operations go through a confirmation process before execution.

## How to Connect Interface AI to Zcode?

### Obtain an API Key

1. Log in to the official website jiekou.ai to register.

2. Go to the admin console, click "My Account" in the upper right corner, and select "API Key Management" from the dropdown list.

3. Click "Create" and enter a key name. It's recommended to use a recognizable name so you can easily distinguish keys for different purposes in the console later.

4. Click to copy and record the generated Key. It cannot be viewed again in the console, so please store it safely for future use.

### Connect Interface AI to Zcode

1. After installing Zcode, open it and click Settings → Model Settings → Add Provider → Create Custom Provider

2. Paste the API Key you just copied, enter the URL, and select the API format (API Endpoint) that matches the model you want to call

* Domestic direct-connect URL: [https://api.highwayapi.ai/openai](https://api.highwayapi.ai/openai)
* International URL: [https://api.jiekou.ai/openai](https://api.jiekou.ai/openai)

3. Add a model: copy the model ID from Interface AI into the "Model ID" input field. Zcode will automatically match the model's related attributes. Click Save to use it in conversations
